Other than that, hotels are disallowed to distribute soap and shampoo in sachets.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe local government of Quezon City is taking this action to prevent and reduce the generation of waste materials that are hardly recovered and recycled, and to promote sustainable practices, especially in the city\u2019s thriving hotel and restaurant industry,&#8221; Mayor\u00a0 Belmonte said in a statement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">She hopes for a better environment by reducing waste and phasing out single used plastics, which are some of the causes of flooding in the area.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-51572\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/12\/offense.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/12\/offense.jpg 960w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/12\/offense-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/12\/offense-768x768.jpg 768w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/12\/offense-90x90.jpg 90w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon violation of this policy, violators will be subject to the following penalties:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>First offense<\/strong> &#8211; a fine of Php 1,000<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Second offense<\/strong> &#8211; a fine of Php 3,000 plus revocation of environmental clearance and issuance of a cease and desist order by the business permits and Licensing Department<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Third offense<\/strong> &#8211;
