Manila Philippines \u2013 The Kenshin stars walked the red carpet premiere of \u201cRurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno,\u201d<\/strong> at SM Megamall Cinema in Ortigas, Wednesday night, August 6th.<\/p>\n

The cinema was on pandemonium when the cast of the popular anime arrived. The media and loyal fans were present at the event when the Japanese cast had their introduction.<\/p>\n

Japanese actors Keishi Otomo, Takeru Satoh, Emi Takei, and Munetaka Aoki traveled all the way from Japan to attend the Asian premiere in Manila.<\/p>\n

\u201cRurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno\u201d is schedule to have its first screening on August 20th followed by its sequel on September 24th, entitled \u201cThe Legend Ends\u201d.<\/p>\n

Based on the Kyoto arc of the popular manga series written & illustrated by Nobuhiro Watsuki, the \u201cRurouni Kenshin\u201d sequels follow the story of Kenshin Himura (Satoh), a legendary swordsman in the wars accompanying the turbulent fall of Japan\u2019s Shogunate in the 19th century. Once feared as \u2018Battosai the Killer\u2019, he has adopted a peaceful life since the arrival of the \u2018new age\u2019. But Makoto Shishio (Tatsuya Fujiwara), the \u2018Shadow Killer\u2019 and successor to Kenshin\u2019s position as the deadly assassin, has since then been scheming in the Kyoto underworld, raising an army of disaffected former samurais with the aim of overthrowing the new regime. Agreeing to a request by the new government to defeat Shishio, Kenshin leaves his beloved ones in Tokyo and sets out for Kyoto. He and Shishio are a match in skill and in wits, but their aims are opposite. Can Kenshin preserve the nation without breaking his vow that he will kill no more\u2026?<\/a><\/p>\n
