Asia\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants for 2016<\/strong> was announced last Monday, February 29, and it featured one of the Philippine\u2019s best: Gallery Vask<\/strong>, located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.<\/span><\/p>\n

CONGRATULATIONS! Gallery Vask is recognized as the 39th<\/sup> Best Restaurant in Asia, and the Best Restaurant in the Philippines.<\/em><\/p>\n

Gallery Vask\u2019s concepts was described by William Reed Business Media as being \u201cset in a constantly evolving art space inspired by people, nature, memories, textures, techniques, travels and history.\u201d True to form, their ever-changing menu is now 100% Filipino, a change of gears from their initial Spanish-inspired line-up with a Filipino twist.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gallery Vask\u2019s Tiradito<\/em> was hailed as their standout dish. Tiradito <\/em>is Chef Chele Gonzalez\u2019s take on kinilaw<\/em>, essentially the Filipino version of ceviche<\/em>. He coats raw tuna loin in coconut milk flavoured with kuzu<\/em> and tabon-tabon<\/em>, a sour fruit found in Northern Mindanao.<\/span><\/p>\n

Asia\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants is an annual award given by William Reed Business Media, honouring the best restaurants in all of Asia. It takes in votes from six regions: India & Subcontinent; South-East Asia \u2013 South; South-East Asia \u2013 North; Hong Kong, Taiwan & Macau; mainland China & Korea; and Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The list is created by the Diners Club\u00ae Asia\u2019s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an influential group of over 300 leaders in the restaurant industry across Asia, each selected for their expert opinion of Asia\u2019s restaurant scene.<\/span><\/p>\n
