It acts as a tool to increase the cities&#8217; marketing competitiveness as well as improve the situation of local residents and their livelihood.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Additionally, ACTCS highlights the importance of preserving the environment by responding to the impacts of climate change\u00a0and contributing to the sustainable development of ASEAN cities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">To determine which cities fit the Clean Tourist City Standard, cities from ASEAN member countries are evaluated based on the following indicators:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Environmental Management, Cleanliness<\/li>\n<li>Waste Management<\/li>\n<li>Awareness-building about Environmental Protection and Cleanliness<\/li>\n<li>Green Spaces<\/li>\n<li>Health Safety, and Urban Safety and Security<\/li>\n<li>Tourism Infrastructure and Facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">These factors determine the quality of tourism offered by the cities and identify areas that can be improved.
