Planning to travel to New Zealand\u00a0for the holiday season?<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>New Zealand Government <\/b>will impose a new border security measure requiring visitors to hold a <\/span>New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) <\/b>before entering the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

Effective <\/span>October 1, 2019<\/b>, visitors from 60 visa waiver countries, including transit passengers from 24 transit visa waiver countries, and Australian Permanent Residents must hold a NZeTA before going to New Zealand.<\/span><\/p>\n

It applies to people who are traveling on a passport from a visa waiver country\/territory<\/strong>, Australian permanent resident<\/strong>, travelers passing through Auckland International Airport<\/strong>, and cruise passengers from a visa required country<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Filipino nationals who have obtained their NZ visas are not required to secure a NZeTA. However, it is required for Filipinos who are to transit to New Zealand without a visa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The NZeTA can be requested through its mobile app or complete the request form\u00a0via the Immigration New Zealand website. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u00a0<\/span>costs NZD 9 <\/strong>for NZeTA requests via mobile app<\/strong> and NZD 12 <\/strong>for NZeTA requests via website<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
