One of which is\u00a0endocrinology, which deals with endocrine glands and hormones.<\/p>\n<p>Meet Dr. Joy Fontanilla, an endocrinologist who has been in practice for more than two decades, in this medical feature:<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Dr. Joy Arabelle Castillo Fontanilla, MD, FACE, FPCP, FPSEDM, FPCDE, CCD<\/span><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Internal Medicine &#8211; Endocrinology<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-47251\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/08\/Dr-Fontanilla-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Dr. Joy Fontanilla<\/strong> is a veteran Endocrinologist who has been in the field for more than 25 years now. She was under the UP College of Medicine\u2019s seven-year Integrated Arts and Medicine (INTRAMED) Program, which shortened her medical education by two years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To her, being a doctor is one of the few professions where one has the opportunity to save lives every day.
