{"id":46094,"date":"2019-07-16T09:00:01","date_gmt":"2019-07-16T01:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/?p=46094"},"modified":"2019-07-16T12:04:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-16T04:04:55","slug":"ph-govt-implements-stricter-foreign-work-permit-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/2019\/07\/16\/ph-govt-implements-stricter-foreign-work-permit-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"PH Gov\u2019t Implements Stricter Foreign Work Permit Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In an effort to regulate foreign workers, government departments and commissions issued the <strong>Joint Memorandum Circular No. 001<\/strong>, series of 2019, which details on the requirements for foreigners intending to work in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-46099\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/07\/adult-banking-blonde-1059119.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/07\/adult-banking-blonde-1059119.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/07\/adult-banking-blonde-1059119-290x218.jpg 290w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/07\/adult-banking-blonde-1059119-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/07\/adult-banking-blonde-1059119-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The joint memorandum was formed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC), National Intelligence and Coordinating Agency (NICA), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Signed July 11, Thursday, the JMC 1 covers the issuance of the following documents:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alien Employment Permit (AEP) from DOLE;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Special Temporary Permit (STP) from the PRC;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Special provisional Work Permits and 9(g) visa from the BI;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">47(a)2 and Authority to Employ Alien from the DOJ;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Authority to Hire from the DENR;
