Japanese royals Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko is set to visit the Philippines<\/a> this January for a four-day friendship visit, which also marks as their first visit to Southeast Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The visit also marks the 60th<\/sup> anniversary of diplomatic relations between Manila and Japan. Their majesties will be arriving in Manila on January 26 (Tuesday) and will be here up to January 30 (Saturday) only.<\/span><\/p>\n

Here is the itinerary of the Japanese royals as they visit PH:<\/span><\/p>\n

January 26 (Tuesday): Arrival in Manila<\/span><\/p>\n

January\u00a027-28 (Wednesday and\u00a0Thursday): Activities in Manila<\/span><\/p>\n

January\u00a029 (Friday) : Visit to Caliraya and Los Ba\u00f1os in Laguna<\/span><\/p>\n

January\u00a030 (Saturday) : Departure for Tokyo<\/span><\/p>\n

According to earlier reports, the Japanese royals will be visiting memorial sites of Filipino and Japanese veterans in Laguna. This visit will be a significant part of history as this \u201cpeace tour\u201d is a way of strengthening ties with Japan.<\/span><\/p>\n
