A formidable mix of established and emerging names in real estate has been announced as finalists for the 7th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards<\/strong>, to be presented by global brand Kohler at an exclusive gala dinner and ceremony on Friday, 5 July 2019<\/strong>, at the Fairmont Makati hotel<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The long-running prestigious competition welcomes the return of two Best Developer title holders: SM Group, comprising SM Development Corporation and SM Prime Holdings Inc, with a total of 18 nominations; and Megaworld Corporation, collecting a total of 16 nods for Megaworld and its subsidiaries, Empire East Land Holdings Inc and Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI).<\/span><\/p>\n

Other frontrunners include Ayala-owned Alveo Land, green developer ArthaLand Corporation, and provincial developers Cebu Landmasters, Inc and Damosa Land, Inc. First-time nominees RFK Holdings Incorporated, ABC PRIME Inc, and Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation also join this year\u2019s elite group of finalists.<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 39 competitive awards<\/strong> and special honours<\/strong> will be presented at the annual ceremony and gala dinner. The finalists were chosen from carefully selected entries from Mega Manila, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao and resort destinations. The independent panel of expert judges also conducted supervised site visits and deliberations before announcing the final shortlist. Representatives from BDO Roxas, Cruz, Tagle & Co. supervised the fair, ethical and transparent judging process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Special awards<\/strong> in 2019 include accolades for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)<\/strong>, Sustainable Development<\/strong>, and Design and Construction<\/strong>, as well as the Special Recognition for Public Facility<\/strong> to the already-operational Para\u00f1aque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX)<\/strong> by the consortium MWM Terminals, Inc.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, a new Special Recognition in Digital Innovation<\/strong> has been announced to be awarded to FireCheck<\/strong>, an \u201curban fire hazard mapping and fire spread modelling\u201d project developed by young research professionals and select students of the University of the Philippines Cebu and backed by the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD).<\/span><\/p>\n

Highly regarded as the gold standard for excellence in Philippine real estate, recognising development, design and innovation, the annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards programme has been held since 2013, with main category winners moving on to compete for more international accolades at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final ceremony, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in November 2019 with representation from more than a dozen property markets around Asia-Pacific region.<\/span><\/p>\n
