In case you haven\u2019t heard, there\u2019s a new global trend that\u2019s about to hit Philippine shores: trampoline parks. But what exactly is a trampoline park? <\/span><\/p>\n

A trampoline park is, to be blunt, a giant warehouse filled with dozens of unique trampoline \u201cmatts\u201d stretching from wall-to-wall \u2013 allowing you to jump, fly and literally bounce in every direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Trampoline parks were first put up in the United States over a decade ago. They offered a combination of open jumping courts, basketball lanes, dodge ball and volleyball courts, and, for those who are really adventurous, a massive foam pit to land in, perfect for trying out a myriad of twists and somersaults.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s amazing fun, truly enjoyable and healthy\u2026it will make you want to do it\u2026 again and again\u201d, says Mark Hogsden, a British businessman living in the Philippines and the primary co-founder of the first Trampoline Park soon to rock Manila.<\/span><\/p>\n

Will this become Manila\u2019s newest top spot for high-flying fun? “We’ve heard so much about the amazing trampoline parks in Hong-Kong and Singapore, all the games they have there and how much fun it is\u2014so we’re super excited to finally build one here in Manila!”, says Cheska Calderon, a Filipina civil engineer from The Living Letters Construction, who will be leading the construction of the 700-square-meter Trampoline Park in Greenfield together with her father, Pastor Alfred Calderon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Inside the facility, they plan to build a small coffee shop and a beautiful high viewing deck \u2014 where parents can shoot endless photos of their kids jumping, having the time of their lives. However, trampolines are not just all fun and games. Cardio fitness classes on trampolines and even light trampolining exercise have been proven to entail vital health benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n
