Bazaars are often a great place to find the best deals, but there are moments when you just have to marvel at the sheer scale of one to better appreciate what it\u2019s all about.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take the American Women\u2019s Club of the Philippines (AWCP) Monthly Bazaar<\/a>. As the name implies, it is a once-a-month bazaar that has its fair share of great deals and even better people.<\/span><\/p>\n

The AWCP Monthly Bazaar has been going on for at least two decades, starting off at the World Trade Center before finally moving to the SMX Convention Center. To sum it up: it\u2019s six hours of pure shopping bliss for any woman looking for the best in food, garments, furniture, all-natural beauty products, and anything else women might need in two of SMX\u2019s exhibition halls.<\/span><\/p>\n

LARGE SPACE. Although large might be an understatement.<\/em><\/p>\n

Prices depend on the products you want to get, but they\u2019re reasonably priced. Some are even huge steals when compared to malls. But more than the price, the best reason to attend the bazaar is for charity. All proceeds of the event go to charities AWCP supports, as well as towards the vendors themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

Touch of Craft<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

REINVENTED. Looking more like art pieces, these decorative bags and stuffed owls are a sight to behold.<\/em><\/p>\n

Touch of Craft maybe one of many, but it is unique in its own way. Everything here is hand-made from recycled fabric, all under the watchful eye of its owner, Emily Campos.<\/span><\/p>\n

From door stops to handbags, purses to accessories, and even decorative pieces inside your house, these creations are a sight for sore eyes. If you want to avail of their products, they are a frequent vendor at the AWCP Monthly Bazaar.<\/span><\/p>\n

AND THEN THERE\u2019S THIS. Yes, that is a reindeer. It\u2019s made to order.<\/em><\/p>\n

KILUS Foundation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

KILUS (from the Filipino word kilos<\/em> meaning move) stands for Kababaihang Iisa<\/em> ang Layuning Umunlad ang Sambayanan<\/em>. They\u2019re a non-government, all-women organization from Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City with the goal of cleaning up our planet while giving livelihood to the less fortunate. Their stall is one of the most visited during the bazaar, and with good reason.<\/span><\/p>\n

BAGS AND PURSES EVERYWHERE. Would you believe they\u2019re all made from recycled materials?<\/em><\/p>\n

The craftsmanship shown in these bags and purses show a lot of dedication to making only the best. Using recycled materials is a big check for a lot of the people in the bazaar, but they\u2019re not all about bags and purses, as you can see below. No wonder people flocked to their stall!<\/span><\/p>\n

DGSI is a livelihood project that provides sustainable income for a women\u2019s cooperative in San Manuel, Pangasinan. Made mostly from semi-precious stones, are hand-made by the women from San Manuel and are exported to countries like the US, United Kingdom, Japan, Spain, and Canada.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who would\u2019ve thought that plastic packaging can be used for creating stunning-looking furniture? Willie Garcia of Junk Not!, that\u2019s who. Even though they\u2019re one of the newest vendors, they\u2019re already creating quite the buzz. Here\u2019s proof:<\/span><\/p>\n

Junk Not! was founded in 2009 with the aim of contributing to social good. In a nutshell, they clean up areas in one of the communities around Taal Volcano and turn trash into treasure. These pieces are available at prices ranging from P3,000 to P8,000. They might sound expensive, but with the amount of work that goes in and the noble cause it\u2019s for, it\u2019s not such a big price to pay.<\/span><\/p>\n
