It had been noted that the number of children a woman wants has been decreasing from 1.9 in 2010 to 1.7 in 2012. However, all it doesn\u2019t stop the increase of population in the country. The Philippine Statistics Authority said that 10 regions are expected to increase faster than the average and five of those are in the Mindanao region. The Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao or ARMM is projected to have the highest average annual growth rate of 2.12% within the period of 2010 \u2013 2045.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Luzon, with the next highest population growth rates from the Cordillera Administrative Reigon with 1.35% and Calabarzon with 1.31%, will still continue to grow, still a little faster than average. The Eastern Visayas, however, is projected to grow by annual average of 1.53%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4358\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2016\/01\/people.jpg\" alt=\"people\" width=\"466\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>People at the procession of the Black Nazarene<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Statistics show that women now aspire to have two to three children while men want to have three or four. In 2012, Republic Act No. 10354, informally known as the RH (Reproductive Health) Bill, has been approved to supposedly decrease the population growth.
