Furthermore, pet owners shall be held responsible for the damage that the pet may cause, including the cleaning and sanitation of the PUV, as may be necessary; and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Safety, convenience, and comfort of the passengers shall not be sacrificed in any way.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-42901\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/IMG_0306-1024x764.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"764\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/IMG_0306-1024x764.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/IMG_0306-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/IMG_0306-768x573.jpg 768w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/IMG_0306.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>IMAGE Yana Bautista<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">LTFB has yet to clarify\u00a0the &#8220;designated animal compartment of the vehicle&#8221; as\u00a0Anna Cabrera,\u00a0Executive Director of the\u00a0Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), reminded that <strong>it is illegal to hold animals in trunks or the cargo area<\/strong> in an interview with NewsTV.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Section 4 of the Republic Act No. 8485, known as the Animal Welfare Act, states &#8220;no cruel confinement or restraint shall be made on such animals while being transported.&#8221; In the meantime, it is understood that it is up to the PUV operators to set a designated animal compartment or area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition.
