The expo is currently at the Midtown Atrium, near the main entrance of\u00a0<strong>Robinsons Place Manila in Ermita until April 28, 2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42727\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX1-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>SOX<\/strong> is the moniker for Region XII or SOCCSKSARGEN in Central Mindanao. The name is an acronym that stands for the region&#8217;s four provinces and 1 city:\u00a0<strong>So<\/strong>uth <strong>C<\/strong>otabato,\u00a0<strong>C<\/strong>otabato Province,\u00a0<strong>S<\/strong>ultan\u00a0<strong>K<\/strong>udarat,\u00a0<strong>Sar<\/strong>angani, and\u00a0<strong>Gen<\/strong>eral Santos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The expo this year features both the provinces and major cities in the region. Each one has an area to showcase their unique local products as well as offer tours, activities, and destinations for their province or city:<\/p>\n<h4>Sultan Kudarat Province<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The name of this province is derived from a Muslim ruler in 1625 and is considered a hero. Sultan Kudarat&#8217;s\u00a0provincial capital is <strong>Isulan<\/strong>. In their booth, they offer coffee products as one of the leading crops produced in the province.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42726\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"534\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX.jpg 800w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2019\/04\/treasuresofSOX-768x513.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Tacurong City<\/h4>\n<p>The smallest city in land area in Sultan Kudarat is Tacurong City.\u00a0It is the place of the popular\u00a0Baras\u00a0Bird Sanctuary which houses\u00a0more than 20,000 herons and egrets. Their booth offers guided tours and additional information on the bird sanctuary.<\/p>\n<h4>South Cotabato Province<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">South Cotabato adapted the title,\u00a0<em>Land of the Dreamweavers<\/em> to promote the\u00a0province\u2019s tribal weavers of the\u00a0T\u2019nalak fabric of the\u00a0T\u2019boli tribe. It is a tradition that the woven designs of the fabric are\u00a0inspired by the dreams of women weavers. The city is located at the shores of Sarangani Bay, a popular fishing site for sashimi-grade tuna, the city&#8217;s\u00a0most prominent product. In their booth at the expo,\u00a0they sell jewelry and snacks,<\/p>\n<h4>Cotabato Province<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Also known as North Cotabato (to distinguish them from South Cotabato and Cotabato City), is known for their falls and the eco-tourism park around the Philippine&#8217;s highest peak, Mt. Apo. Apo is Cotabato&#8217;s provincial capital, Kidapawan, a well-known starting point for climbing the highest mountain in the country. The mountain also houses the endangered Philippine Eagle making this city a tourist favorite.\u00a0Approach their booth for trekking details and tours.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\">Sarangani Province<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This unique province is divided into two sections with General Santos and Sarangani Bay in between. Thanks to this, the province is rich with natural attractions such as caves, diving spots, beaches, and falls. Know more about their tourist spots from their booth.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\">Cotabato City<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Representing the province of the Maguindanao province is the grand Cotabato City. The name from the Maguindanao word\u00a0<i>kuta wato<\/i> meaning &#8220;stone fort&#8221; in reference to the fort in which served as the seat of the hero, Sultan Kudarat.
