Utility concessionaires Maynilad and Meralco <\/strong>have both announced\u00a0temporary service interruptions\u00a0this upcoming Holy Week<\/strong>. Both companies\u00a0will\u00a0conduct upgrading, line reconductoring, and maintenance works\u00a0which will result in water and power outages\u00a0in some areas in Metro Manila, including nearby provinces.<\/p>\n

Maynilad<\/h3>\n

Maynilad Water Services<\/strong>, the water utility concessionaire for West Zone Metro Manila, announced on their social media regarding the water interruptions. The company will be conducting\u00a0facility maintenance works, pipe decommissioning, pipe interconnections, and valve replacements during Holy Week.<\/p>\n

On their post, Maynilad encourages affected customers to store water at least three (3) days before the scheduled interruption to prevent simultaneous heavy withdrawals of water from pipelines, which can cause some customers to have no water earlier than scheduled.<\/p>\n

Water tankers will be on standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed. Below are the scheduled water interruptions as posted on Maynilad Facebook page:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

To make way for maintenance operations,\u00a0Manila Electric Company (Meralco)<\/strong> released a schedule for April 15 to 21, 2019. Some areas in Metro Manila and the nearby provinces namely Laguna, Bulacan, Cavite, and Rizal will have several power interruptions. An advisory was released by the company regarding conserving energy by turning off and unplugging appliances not in use.<\/p>\n
