From the creators of Chef’s Table<\/span>,<\/span><\/i> Netflix<\/b> is set to celebrate Asia\u2019s local culinary heroes in their new nine-part documentary series titled <\/span>Street Food<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The nine-part series explores the rich culture of street food in some of the world\u2019s most colorful cities in Asia. <\/span>Street Food Asia\u00a0<\/span><\/i>goes beyond the delicious food to document the unique stories of blood, sweat, and tears that goes into each iconic dish.<\/span><\/p>\n

The docu-series\u2019 first season will also feature local street food legends from nine countries across Asia, highlighting the stories of their perseverance, lifelong passion, and family traditions that brought each country’s cuisine and culture to life. And among the series\u2019 featured cities is Philippines\u2019 very own Cebu City!<\/span><\/p>\n

The series uncovers <\/span>Florencio \u201cEntoy\u201d Escabas<\/b>\u2019 discovery of <\/span>Nilarang Bakasi<\/span><\/i>, a soured reef eel stew that helped his community rise from poverty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Known as the home of the best Lechon in the country, Street Food looks into Cebu\u2019s popular lechon business, particularly on how <\/span>Leslie Enjambre\u2019s <\/b>grandmother started their lechon business in Talisay in the 1940s.<\/span><\/p>\n
