Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP)<\/strong>\u00a0is pleased to introduce the latest upgrade for Toyota Hiace<\/strong> as they hosted its world premiere on Monday, February 18<\/strong> at the Grand Hyatt Manila<\/strong> in Taguig.<\/p>\n

\"\"Both driver and passenger can now experience better ergonomics with the All-New Hiace<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

During the launch, TMP has highlighted the Philippines\u2019 position as a primary market for Toyota\u2019s range of iconic vans.\u00a0Aside from being the preferred family van of the Filipinos, Hiace has become a common fixture in providing mobility services to both public and private sectors, helping promote education, tourism, healthcare, and more.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe, at Toyota Motor Philippines, are honored to host the World Premiere of the All-New Toyota Hiace. For the first time, the world\u2019s eyes are on the Philippines, to witness the unveiling of the Full Model Change Hiace, never before exhibited elsewhere,\u201d said Mr. Satoru Suzuki, President of TMP.<\/p>\n

The three variants of the All-New Hiace are the\u00a0GL Grandia Tourer<\/strong>, the\u00a0GL Grandia<\/strong>, and the\u00a0Commuter Deluxe<\/strong>. Both the Commuter Deluxe and the GL Grandia will be available for retail in all Toyota dealerships nationwide starting\u00a0March 5, 2019<\/strong>. The GL Grandia Tourer will be available in early April.<\/p>\n

\"\"The All-New Hiace\u2019s design cues are inspired by real-world problems to provide modern solutions<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The All-New Hiace has been revamped inside and out\u00a0to guarantee safe, comfortable, and reliable transport for everyone.\u00a0At the literal forefront of the refreshed modern look is the new semi-bonnet design to make the engine no longer mounted atop the front wheel axle.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, with the new design, the engine, in its new position, becomes easier to access compared to the previous make.<\/p>\n

For the GL Grandia Tourer variant, the headlamps are complemented by vertical LED Daytime Running Lights and fog lamps in the bumper, while chamfered rear combination lamps add to its three-dimensional presence.<\/p>\n

Its spacious cabin space is built for maximized storage and a powerful and fuel efficient 1GD-FTV 2.8 L engine ensures that the vehicle can traverse any road while carrying\u00a0a heavy load.<\/p>\n

Inside the cabin is the maximized storage capacity with optimized riding comfort. Everything can be stored in its large overhead and console trays on top of the huge space beneath the front row seats for the Commuter Deluxe.<\/p>\n

Moreover, there is bigger legroom, providing a riding experience enhanced by wider doorsteps, strategically-positioned assist grips, and illuminated entry system.<\/p>\n

The All-New Hiace is powered by a new 1GD-FTV 2.8 L engine that has a high-boost turbocharger, 176 horsepower, intercooler system, Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), and Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) that leads to reduced cabin noise by absorbing engine vibrations. It also offers better handling with variable power steering, lighter gear shifting, and a MacPherson strut front suspension system with leaf spring rear suspension.<\/p>\n

\"\"Many improvements have been adopted by the sixth generation Hiace for easier ingress and egress<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The GL Grandia and GL Grandia Tourer variants come with Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Anti-Lock Brake System, and Emergency Brake Signals. The Commuter Deluxe also has Anti-Lock Brake System and Emergency Brake Signals. Owners, drivers, and passengers alike are offered great peace of mind as both passive and active safety are accounted for in the design of the new generation Hiace.<\/p>\n

The GL Grandia Tourer, the GL Grandia, and the Commuter Deluxe comfortably fit a maximum of 14, 12, and 15 people, respectively.<\/p>\n
