Duty Free Philippines Corporation (DFPC)<\/strong> is set to construct Duty Free stores in Palawan and Bohol<\/strong> this year. <\/span><\/p>\n

In a press conference held at Luxe Duty Free last January 23, Chief Operating Officer Vicente Angala<\/strong> announces the corporation\u2019s intent to expand their provincial presence this year by establishing stores in Palawan and Bohol-Panglao International Airport.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"DFPC COO A<\/em>ngala<\/em>\u00a0shares the corporation’s goals for this year during the press conference<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Discussions are still being made regarding the details of the new stores, but Angala assured that construction will begin this year. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBased on our follow-up, it’s still with the DOTr [Department of Transportation]. It should be transferred to CAAP [Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines] and our negotiation would be with CAAP. We still don’t have the details on how big the space we will be occupying, but definitely, that will happen this year,\u201d the DFPC COO explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further, Angala said that DFPC will be renovating the Fiestamall in Paranaque this year. <\/span><\/p>\n

The corporation has allocated an approximate budget of Php 27M for the store\u2019s improvement. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2018, DFPC introduced their most extravagant outlet yet in the country Luxe Duty Free<\/em>, and this year, travelers can expect more luxurious brand collaborations at the high-end store. <\/span><\/p>\n

Luxe Duty Free also expects the Go Lokal program to grow more. The program, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), aims to promote the country\u2019s local products.<\/span><\/p>\n

DFPC also plans to bring the duty-free shopping experience to the online world as they are looking to develop their online shopping system this year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Angala, DFPC has reached a total consolidated sale of USD 200M conservative growth in 2018 with overseas Filipino workers remaining to be the top market source.<\/span><\/p>\n

Duty Free Philippines Corporation is the manager of the state-owned duty and tax-free merchandising system Duty Free Philippines in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n
