The Philippine Airlines is now offering direct flights from Manila to New York<\/strong> with its new Airbus A350<\/strong> \u2014a\u00a0new milestone in aviation history of the Philippines as they become the first airline to provide non-stop service from the said destinations.<\/p>\n

PAL President & COO Jaime J. Bautista, along with 12 Cabin Crew Members, led by Flight Purser Ramon Munoz, completed the flight crew roster of this historic maiden nonstop journey to the Big Apple. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The first ever flight happened last October 29, 2018, and has been fully operational since October 30, 2018.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

PAL A350 Features<\/span><\/h3>\n

PAL’s\u00a016-hour flight assures passengers with comfort and fastest flight to New York featuring 2-piece FREE baggage allowance of up to 23kgs each,\u00a0in-seat video, wifi service<\/strong> (subject to time and volume caps), with affordable renewal plans, mobile connectivity and in-flight meals\u00a0including Wolfgang Steakhouse<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The new\u00a0Airbus\u00a0can fly up to 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km) and boasts a quieter cabin up to four times less noise, making it the quietest twin-aisle aircraft to date. It also h<\/span>as an all-new design and state of the art technology, with the aircraft’s advanced Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines producing unparalleled range and efficiency. <\/span><\/p>\n

It also f<\/span>eatures special LED mood lighting, customized especially for PAL, giving passengers a more intimate in-flight experience that helps them adjust to time zone and day vs. night changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

PAL A350 Business Class<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Business class cabin has 30 seats<\/strong> configured in\u00a0a 1-2-1\u00a0format so that every single passenger enjoys direct access to the aisle. It also offers a seat pitch of 44 inches and seat width of up to 24 inches. <\/span><\/p>\n

The seats can recline to a full-flat bed measuring 78 inches in length and has an adjustable air cushion for\u00a0seat firmness, lumbar massage feature, additional storage for personal items, power ports, and augmented reading lights.<\/span><\/p>\n

PAL A350 Premium Economy<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\"\"Passengers who got to try the Premium economy seats on the first ever flight<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Premium Economy class has 24 seats<\/strong> in a 2-4-2 configuration in an exclusive cabin. Seat pitch is at 38 inches and seat width is at 19 inches. <\/span><\/p>\n

With a recline of up to eight inches, Premium Economy seats are equipped with\u00a0leg rest\u00a0and footrest, additional front pockets for personal items, bottle holders, reading lights, and power ports.<\/span><\/p>\n

PAL A350 Economy<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Economy class cabin has a total of 241 seats<\/strong> in a 3-3-3 configuration that offers passengers roomier leg space and greater seating comfort, with a seat pitch of 33 inches and seat width at 18 inches. With a\u00a0recline\u00a0of up to six inches, the\u00a0features include a 4-way headrest and USB power ports.<\/span><\/p>\n

All PAL flights to New York will depart from NAIA Terminal 2, while PAL flights from New York will arrive at NAIA Terminal 1.<\/p>\n

However, PAL flights to and from Canada, i.e. Vancouver and Toronto, will use NAIA Terminal 1 as their point of departure and arrival in Manila.<\/p>\n

PAL has been flying non-stop form New York to Manila five times weekly since October 30, 2018.<\/p>\n
