According to an old Japanese tale, the princess \u201c<em>Orihime<\/em>\u201d and the Cow Herder \u201c<em>Hikoboshi<\/em>\u201d are allowed to cross the Milky Way to meet once a year on this day. ANA brings the festivities to airports in Japan and all over the world, including the Philippines, with its annual <em>Tanabata<\/em> Event. This year, the event was held on the 7<sup>th<\/sup> and 8<sup>th<\/sup> in NAIA Terminal 3, and went on from 6:35 AM to 9:35 AM, and again from 11:40 AM to 2:40 PM on both days, coinciding with the NH950 and NH870 flights to Narita and Haneda, respectively.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/staff-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0653.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-359\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/staff-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0653.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0653\" width=\"435\" height=\"650\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0653.jpg 435w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0653-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 435px) 100vw, 435px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><em>Tanabata<\/em> is celebrated in Japan by writing a wish on a colorful piece of paper called <em>Tanzaku<\/em>. The <em>Tanzaku<\/em> is then hung on branches of a bamboo tree to celebrate the reunion of <em>Orihime<\/em> and Hikoboshi. For this event, ANA prepared their own original <em>Tanzaku<\/em> with cute illustrations of <em>Orihime<\/em> and <em>Hikoboshi<\/em>. The passengers were asked to write their wishes on the <em>Tanzaku<\/em> and hang them on the potted Bamboo tree.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/staff-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0657.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-360\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/staff-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0657.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_0657\" width=\"850\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0657.jpg 850w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2014\/07\/DSC_0657-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Passengers also took photos with the ANA staff who were clad in traditional Yukata and Happi outfits. The photos were later printed out and given to the passengers as souvenirs.
