As one of the most anticipated F&B event in the Philippines, the 10th Cebu Food and Beverage Expo (CEFBEX) 2018<\/strong>, dubbed as the “The Ultimate Food-venture,<\/em>” is more than ready to deliver and showcase the\u00a0best culinary-related experience like never before happening this October 11 to 14, 2018<\/strong> at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

F&B Galore and Booths<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Since the event is of free admission, CEFBEX<\/strong> is expecting to exceed its predicted participants this year from the previous year. Participants would be indulging to an ideal,\u00a0well-structured, and curated F&B showcasing event which covers the best local F&B practices, products and outputs, brands, food innovators, and companies.<\/p>\n

CEFBEX 2018 Culinary Cup<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"CEFBEX Culinary Cup<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0climax of the occasion, the CEFBEX Culinary Cup<\/strong> which would be split into two parts: The CEFBEX Culinary Cup Home Chef Edition and Inter-School Division<\/strong>. The Home Chef Edition<\/strong> is going to be participated by local home cooks of Cebu that have no experience in the previous five years regarding professional culinary work or have a formal academic background in cooking.<\/p>\n

Student Chef Edition or Inter-School Division<\/strong><\/p>\n

Schools that will be performing will be from Benedicto College, University of San Carlos, and the University of Visayas. The Inter-School Division<\/strong>, which would be comprised of the Table Set-Ups, Fruit Carving, Cake Decorating, Flair Bartending Tandem, Open Latte Art, and Pasta Live Cookery competition. Interested culinary and hospitality students from the region can participate in the Inter-School Division. Winners of the competition will receive a consolation prize worth Php 30,000 and will open opportunities for advancement.<\/p>\n

Seminars<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As part\u00a0of promoting the F&B business in the region, CEFBEX merged a joint venture with executives and experts from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Trade and Industry, and the Department of Science and Technology to give enlightenment to F&B players with the free pass, adept and up-to-date knowledge and techniques to\u00a0excel in the industry.<\/p>\n

Local Cebu Products<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

CEFBEX would also put into the spotlight the products from the Cebu Farmers Market area where local products such as fruits and vegetable can be purchased. Asides from local goods, CEFBEX Coffee Fest would highlight the locals’ expertise in creating cocktails and coffee from the Linear Coffee Roaster and the Cebu Bartenders and Baristas Association.<\/p>\n
