BGC residents will be participating in the BGC-Wide Earthquake Drill tomorrow, September 27, 2018, from\u00a010 a.m. to 12 p.m<\/strong>. The local government will be closing several roads and traffic lights for simulation activities. Motorists are advised to expect heavy traffic and to take alternate routes.<\/p>\n

Please take note of the roads affected for the duration of the earthquake drill:<\/p>\n

\u2022 5th Ave. (26th St. to 32nd St. and 32nd St. to 34th St.)
\n\u2022 39th St. (Triangle Drive to 11th Ave.)
\n\u2022 10th Ave. (25th St. to McKinley Parkway)
\n\u2022 2nd Ave. (32nd St. to 31st St.) Southbound
\n\u2022 3rd Ave. (31st St. to 32nd St.)<\/p>\n

Furthermore, traffic lights will be temporarily turned off during the drill. Marshals will be deployed in various locations to help direct people and motorists affected. Motorists are also reminded of the newly implemented One-Way Scheme that affects 7th Avenue, 9th Avenue, 28th Street, and 30th Street.<\/p>\n

Jun Galvez, Bonifacio Estate Services Corporation General Manager has stated that BGC citizens have been informed since September 21 and has asked for their participation. “Our overall goal is to remind them to remain calm, duck, cover, hold, and remember safe rally points so that when real disaster strikes, their instinct will kick in and they will know exactly how to act,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
