Raising a family in a foreign land can be daunting, but for expats living in the Philippines, it looks like they are just in the right place \u2013 a country that in fact fosters it. A recent survey done by an international organization ranks the Philippines, a country with a culture known to be nurturing and family-centred as one of the best countries to raise a family for expatriates.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conducted by Internations.org<\/a>, a global network of expats that aims to provide a solid community for those living abroad, the Family Life Index 2015 shows the Philippines at the 14th<\/sup> spot among 41 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Countries are ranked according to how well they do in these subcategories: availability of childcare and education, costs of childcare and education, quality of education, family well-being, as well as childcare and education options. This year, a question regarding available leisure activities for kids was included in the Family Well-Being subcategory.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of the 41 countries had 30 survey respondents raising kids abroad who rated the above factors on a scale of one to seven.<\/span><\/p>\n

Austria tops the list with Finland and Sweden coming next.<\/span><\/p>\n
