After a successful stint in Myanmar and Indonesia, the hit Japanese series Amachan<\/em> is about to make waves in Philippine television after the successful contract signing between Japan International Broadcasting (NHK) and TV5 on August 17, 2015 at the Manila Palace Pool Club.<\/span><\/p>\n

Set in the Tohuku region of Japan, which suffered from the devastating tsunami disaster in 2011, Amachan is a slice of life type of drama with a mixture of comedy and drama about a high school student, Aki, played by popular Japanese actress Rena Nonen, and her dreams of becoming an \u201cama\u201d, a Japanese traditional free-diver of seafood, particularly of sea urchins in the series, and a pop idol at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The contract signing also involved the appearance of KAWAII 5, comprised of the 5 most cutest and talented girls ever to hit the entertainment arena, who will also be the endorser of Amachan.<\/span><\/p>\n

KAWAII 5 <\/strong>makes their way on the stage as an opening act prior the contract signing between JIBT and TV5 on August 17, 2015 at the Manila Pool Palace Club, Taguig.<\/em><\/p>\n

In addition with that, a live variety show titled Hallow Hallo Caf\u00e9 hosted by comedian Yachang, will also pilot alongside Amachan as an after-show component. Hallo Hallo Caf\u00e9 is presented and sponsored by Hallo Hallo Inc. and the Cool Japan Shop, who\u2019ll feature fun and exciting games, and will also give viewers a chance to win thousands of prizes.Viewers simply have to register for free on hallohallo.com to become eligible for the prizes up for grabs as seen in the after-show.<\/span><\/p>\n

To make it more exciting, registered users can earn up to 10 million points by simply watching the show and being on the lookout for the daily keyword, which will equate to points that can eventually turn into prizes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Amachan will depict Japanese culture in raw form giving importance to pursuing one\u2019s dreams and the importance of family where Filipinos can surely relate. <\/span><\/p>\n
