Rising prices, endless bills, and spending habits all make it seem so impossible. When kids are thrown into the mix, the word \u201cmoney\u201d can almost seem like a joke. However, as the examples that children look up to, it\u2019s important for adults to teach kids how to handle money responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>Parents and teachers will be pleased to know that <strong>BPI Foundation and Philam Foundation<\/strong> have teamed up to promote financial education and savings awareness to elementary schools across the Philippines. The joint project, called <strong>BAYAN SAVES<\/strong>, merges BPI Foundation\u2019s BPI Bayanihan Para sa Inang Bayan (BAYAN) Program which is a volunteerism program for BPI employees and Philam Savings Awareness and Values Education Sessions (SAVES) Program.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-30672\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/07\/image004.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"866\" height=\"578\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first leg of the BAYAN SAVES project will see Philam Foundation conducting the Philam SAVES program in select schools nationwide, beginning with the Philam Paaralan sites. Here, they will teach kids the way kids learn best: Through fun and games. The Philam SAVES program will utilize games, coin bank designing, and even storytelling to inculcate in kids the value and habit of saving money. It also aims to promote discipline, respect, and generosity.<\/p>\n<p>When three months have passed, it will be BPI Foundation\u2019s turn to mobilize their BAYAN volunteers in order to conduct refresher courses and account opening caravans. Both activities will help ensure that the value of saving and responsible spending is ingrained in every child. There will be a caravan for Jumpstart, Kaya Savings, and Prepaid Cards.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>This is a press release.
