Following its successful introduction to the Philippines held recently<\/a>, the<\/strong> International Festival of Extraordinary Textiles (FITE)<\/strong> brought its wonderful designs to the catwalk of the SM Aura Atrium <\/strong>last July 8, 2015<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

An all-out fashion event full of glamour, thrill and elegance, the fashion show held showcased contemporary collections of world-renowned fashion designers. The runway presentation showed the different cultures of various countries and featured diversity as a way of sharing creativity, innovation, and expertise among local and foreign designers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is one of France\u2019s biggest and most prestigious international festivals committed to connecting indigenous and modern textile designs. Local and foreign personalities and dignitaries were present. An exhibit featuring different designs, collections and profiles of fashion designers was also held.<\/span><\/p>\n

Although the festival ended yesterday, July 12, the Renaissance Exhibit <\/strong>is still ongoing from<\/strong> July 8 to September 12<\/strong> at the Metropolitan Museum of the Philippines<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Festival International des Textiles Extra Ordinaries (FITE) was organized by the French Embassy, Metropolitan Museum of Manila, and HABI: The Philippine Textile Council, in partnership with the HS project Association, Borgoin Museum and the City of Clemmont-Ferrand. The festival is supported by the National Commission on Culture and Arts, SM Aura Premier, Security Bank, Business World, High Life, HerWord.com and Art Plus Magazine.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
