In\u00a0celebration of International Museum Day this May 18, make a new connection through different museum\u2019s latest innovation with technology with the theme <\/span>Hyperconnected museums: new approaches, new publics<\/b>. In line with this, we made a list of museums that you can visit for free!<\/span><\/p>\n

National Museum of Natural History

Finally opening its doors in time for the International Museum Day, the National Museum of Natural History is a must-visit this week!\u00a0Last year, it had a one day preview for all, wherein they showed its architecture and interior design. <\/span><\/p>\n

This year, the tree of life will welcome you once again. The National Museum complex is consisted of the National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology, National Museum of Natural History, and the National Planetarium surrounding Rizal Park, will charge no admission fee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yuchengco Museum

\u00a0See the suspended garden\u00a0which resembles a\u00a0Japanese Zen garden inside Yuchengco Museum in celebration of the International Museum Day. On May 18, entrance will be free for the whole day. <\/span><\/p>\n

Museum exhibits in Yuchengco Museum is filled with international\u00a0and\u00a0local art collection reminiscing various renowned painters. You will also see Dr. Jose Rizal’s, too!\u00a0You will also learn\u00a0information about the Yuchengco Family and their memorabilia in this museum in Makati.<\/span><\/p>\n

Metropolitan Museum of<\/b> Manila<\/strong>

Free entrance also with free guided tours welcome you in Metropolitan Museum of Manila (MET) as the museum offers each of us\u00a0a more personal connection with their museum. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tour schedule for May 18 will be from 11:00\u00a0am to 2:30 pm. Exhibitions available are Fascination with Filipiniana: The Vargas Museum Collection, In the Wake of the War and the Modern: Manila 1941 to 1961, and UPFRONT: Encountering the Sacred. Originally built as a venue for international art exhibitions, they have redefined the MET as they continue showcasing local contemporary art and cultural heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also cooperating this International Museum Day, Museo Pambata is also\u00a0admission-free\u00a0on May 18. As the first interactive museum for kids, Museo Pambata does not exhibit artifacts behind the glass as the usual museum goes.The museum displays enable kids to interact with facts as they play around the museum. They encourage kids to discover and understand everything\u00a0in their surroundings by pushing them to\u00a0be more curious.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ayala Museum

Ayala Museum will have their free admission day on May 20th from 12:00\u00a0pm to 8:00 pm. With this year\u2019s theme of International Museum Day, Ayala museum ensures you a full experience with its own app released last month. Their upgrade with technology will ensure your museum experience will be a fascinating one. They will also be holding workshops for on that day.<\/span><\/p>\n
