The campaign period for those who will be accepted as candidates will start on May 4 and end on May 12. The Comelec strictly prohibits any form of campaigning on May 13, a day before the elections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Comelec also advised all potential candidates against giving <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">gifts in cash or in kind, construction of barangay-funded roads and bridges, and promotions or approval of salary increases as they are considered as a form of campaigning. The Comelec also reminds voters that no one is allowed to carry firearms or other deadly weapons on the day of the elections.
