Such is the design for Clark and surrounding cities in Pampanga says Bingcang last month in a\u00a0conference. The BCDA executive\u00a0also stated that the project will open investment opportunities\u00a0because the government will be leading the development of the area under the Duterte administration’s Build, Build, Build Program. The project is composed of the construction of the new terminal building of the Clark International Airport, the new metropolis New Clark City, the Manila-Clark High-Speed Railway, and the Subic-Clark Cargo Railway.<\/p>\n
The President has prioritized the development of the Clark International Airport to expand the terminal by 82,000 sq. meters. This project aims to\u00a0serve more passengers following the recent growth of Clark airport accommodating\u00a0more flights – 152 international flights and 300 domestic flights per week, a rapid rise from their\u00a0record of 100 flights per week before 2016.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Clark Freeport Zone\u00a0is scheduled\u00a0to host the Aeoromart Summit for the first time on June 4 to 6, 2018. The annual event is a business convention for the aerospace, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO); and airport infrastructure industries event bringing together suppliers and contract-manufacturers of the international aerospace industry. This allows the Philippines to maximize opportunities for local aviation and aerospace firms while it entices companies to set up global operations in the country.<\/p>\n
During the press launch, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez says that the country is seen to participate more in the global dupply chain and maintenance of aircraft. “The growth of the aerospace industry will mean more export earnings for the country and mean more export earnings for the country and more quality jobs for Filipinos particularly for the graduates of engineering and aviation-related courses” he added.<\/p>\n
