(CMJV). It has been funded through Official Development Assistance (ODA) by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35724\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_runway_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_runway_3.jpg 960w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_runway_3-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_runway_3-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>The 7.8-billion airport project is said to be the Philippines&#8217; first eco-airport, dubbed as the &#8220;Green Gateway to the World.&#8221;<\/em> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Following the &#8220;highest standards of green and sustainable structures,&#8221; the airport will feature solar panels on the roof of the Passenger Terminal Building, LED lighting fixtures, and motion sensor light switches. Moreover, the airport will mainly rely on sunlight for daylighting and air for ventilation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-35721\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_checkin-counters.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"639\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_checkin-counters.jpg 960w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_checkin-counters-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2018\/10\/Panglao-International-Airport-DOTr_checkin-counters-768x511.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Panglao airport will comprise an 8,631-sqm \u00a0terminal and a 2.5-km runway.
