A line-up of Latin films takes\u00a0centerstage at the first CINE LATINO – Latin American Film Festival<\/strong> at Shangri-la Plaza’s Shang Cineplex<\/strong> from\u00a0December 6 to 10, 2017<\/strong>. It will highlight a mix of drama, comedy, romance, and relevant flicks, the festival is set to introduce films from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, and Venezuela<\/strong> that are truly unforgettable.<\/p>\n

Ten full-length films and six short films will capture Filipino movie enthusiast. From Argentian, is a mix of romance, comedy, and drama during the 80’s up to the contemporary era. El hijo\u00a0de la novia<\/em>\u00a0(Son of the Bride) is the story of a character named Rafael, who is having a crisis and tries to reconstruct his past and look at the present with a fresh perspective.<\/p>\n

Brazil will take you to Cidade de Deus (City of God) a housing project built in the 60’s, which became a dangerous place in Rio de Janeiro. From Colombia is a drama-comedy, Sofia y el terco<\/em>\u00a0( Sofie and the stubborn), the story of a couple who lives in small village in the Colombian countryside. Sofia has an old dream: she wants to go to the sea whereas she has always known nothing but mountains.<\/p>\n

Mexico brings El comienzo del tiempo<\/em>\u00a0(The beginning of time), and also a collection of short films, Porcelana (Porceain), Carreteas<\/em> (Roads), Mirar atras<\/em>\u00a0(Looking back), O ser un Elefante<\/em>\u00a0(Being an elephant), Papalotes rosas<\/em>, and Aun nos queda el recuerdo<\/em>\u00a0(We still remember).<\/p>\n
