{"id":22845,"date":"2017-11-08T08:35:57","date_gmt":"2017-11-08T00:35:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/?p=22845"},"modified":"2017-11-08T15:00:03","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T07:00:03","slug":"baguio-city-from-ph-is-one-of-the-new-unesco-creative-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/2017\/11\/08\/baguio-city-from-ph-is-one-of-the-new-unesco-creative-cities\/","title":{"rendered":"Baguio City from PH is one of the new UNESCO Creative Cities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a list released by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Baguio City from the Philippines was included to be part of the new 64 UNESCO Creative Cities coming from 44 countries all over the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-22846\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/11\/IMG_2_2562_21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"953\" height=\"636\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>At the Ben Cab Museum<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As per UNESCO, these creative cities are joined in a network at the frontline of UNESCO\u2019s efforts \u201cto foster innovation and creativity as key drivers for a more sustainable and inclusive urban development.\u201d Baguio City is also the first city from the Philippines to be represented in the Creative Cities network, under the Crafts and Folk Art Category.<\/p>\n<p><em>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/feature\/2016\/04\/06\/baguio-city\/\" target=\"_blank\">Baguio City Feature<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>At present, UNESCO Creative Cities Network is composed of 180 cities from 72 countries.
