You may want to take that rain check because you\u2019re going to be in for a rough drive.<\/p>\n<p>The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) recently advised motorists to avoid EDSA along with other roads in Metro Manila as a nighttime convoy will be conducted on November 8 in preparation for the 31<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0ASEAN Summit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22655\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/11\/EDSA_featured.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/11\/EDSA_featured.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/11\/EDSA_featured-290x218.jpg 290w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/11\/EDSA_featured-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/11\/EDSA_featured-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>MMDA will be implementing a modified stop-and-go scheme from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. along the convoy route from Clark International Airport to roads in the southern part of Metro Manila.<\/p>\n<p>Affected routes for the ASEAN are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clark Complex in Pampanga; along SCTEX from Clark to NLEX;<\/li>\n<li>along NLEX from SCTEX to Balintawak;<\/li>\n<li>along EDSA from Balintawak to Magallanes;<\/li>\n<li>along Diokno from Entertainment City to Buendia;<\/li>\n<li>along Ayala Avenue from EDSA to Makati Avenue;<\/li>\n<li>along Makati Avenue from Ayala to Pasay Road;<\/li>\n<li>along Pasay Road from EDSA to Amorsolo;<\/li>\n<li>along Lawton from 5th Avenue to 30th Avenue;<\/li>\n<li>and along McKinley Road from EDSA to 15th Avenue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cEDSA will be cleared at certain periods to make way for vehicles carrying foreign leaders and delegates,\u201d said Emmanuel Miro, head of operations for MMDA Task Force ASEAN. CCP Complex, which includes PICC and Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, will be on partial lockdown at 12:01 am on November 8, and will be on complete lockdown at 12:01 am on November 12.\/IMAGE <\/i><\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PIAMetroManila\/\"><em><i>Philippine Information Agency NCR<\/i><\/em><\/a><em><i>\u00a0on Facebook<\/i><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Miro advised motorists plying EDSA to use C5 Road and the Mabuhay Lanes as they will clear out the affected routes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be the sixth and final convoy dry run.
