Metro Manila subway gets go signal, to be completed by 2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has already approved the construction of the Metro Manila subway project, the first in the country which is expected to accommodate 350,000 ridership daily. The subway will run from Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City to FTI Complex in Taguig, with additional lines extending to NAIA in Pasay City.<\/p>\n

Paris, to host 2024 Summer Olympics<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Paris won the hosting bid as the International Olympic Committee announced that the 2024 Summer Olympics will be held from August 2 to 18, 2024 in the said city. 2024 will also mark the centennial year when Paris first hosted the Olympics in 1924.<\/p>\n

UN recognizes Ayala Corp\u2019s Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala as SDG Pioneer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The United Nations has recognized Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala as one of their Sustainable Development Goals pioneers, making him one of the 10 individuals in the world championing sustainability in their companies. He is also the first SDG Pioneer from the country, and also in Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

Azkals now ranks 123rd<\/sup> at FIFA men\u2019s rankings<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Philippines\u2019 national football team Azkals is now 4 notches higher than their previous rank in FIFA World Rankings. It now ranks higher than North Korea, Tanzania, and the Central African Republic. Azkals will have a chance to improve rank on its game against Yemen on October 10.<\/p>\n

PH-based fashion designer Jappy Gonzalez is part of BoF 500<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Jappy Gonzalez is the first locally based Filipino fashion designer to be included in the list of Business of Fashion Top 500. This list includes powerful fashion industry influencers, including Anna Wintour of Vogue and Rei Kawakubo of Comme de Garcons. Gonzalez is the co-founder and managing director of H&F Retails Concepts with Homme et Femme, Univers, and Hoodwink under its wing.<\/p>\n
