Representing the Philippines in the regional finals which took place in Singapore, Andrada competed against other finalists from China, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21024\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/3-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/3-5.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/3-5-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/3-5-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Winning photo by Tapan Sheth from India, capturing a calm chameleon at Singapore Zoo\u2019s newest exhibit, RepTopia. His entry received close to one thousand public votes on social media.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>WRS Chief Marketing Officer Isabel Cheng said, \u201cWe thank all of the talented contestants for their participation and remarkable entries. Their images caught so many beautiful moments and it\u2019s been fascinating to see the different stories captured by each participant through their lens\u2014influenced by natural landscapes from their own country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21023\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/2-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/2-8.jpg 683w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/09\/2-8-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Runner-up Fan Li Fang from China captured two greater flamingoes feeding peacefully in the waters surrounding the Zoo\u2019s Gibbon Island. <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The inaugural contest, which was launched this year, aims to encourage photographers to capture the powerful connection between humans, nature, and wildlife through their lens. The entries were categorized into five themes\u2014namely cute, humorous, animals up-close, meaningful, and park icons.<\/p>\n<p>For his entry, Andrada captured two squirrel monkeys hanging out in the forest canopy.
