The church\u2019s hand-painted interiors, designed to look like stone, are definitely worth a visit for it is the first and only of its kind in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Owned and run by the Order of the Augustinian Recollects, the San Sebastian Basilica is one of the unique churches in the world. In fact, the church was declared a national landmark back in 1973 and was later on listed on the World Monuments Fund\u2019s Watch list of Cultural Heritage at Risk in 2000 and 2010. It was also proclaimed a National Cultural Treasure in 2011 and is a national shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Its interiors are decorated with remarkable paintings of statues and saints, and the basilica itself was meticulously hand-painted to look like stone. Its walls and ceilings showcase the works of artists such as Isabelo Tampinco and Felix Martinez.<\/p>\n<p>So what are you waiting for?
