Add the Philippines to your bucket list! Just recently, international science and history magazine National Geographic listed the Philippines as one of the 10 places in the world that deserve more travelers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19160\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/07\/banaue-rice-terraces.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao, Cordillera Administrative Region<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In an article by Tara Isabella Burton, she mentioned that the Philippines remains safe for travelers to visit. \u201cThe Philippines remains no less safe for travelers than many other destinations worldwide, and the country (PH)\u2014so economically reliant on tourist trade&#8211;needs visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/travel\/2016\/09\/04\/banaues-breathtaking-wonders-batad-rice-terraces-and-tappiya-falls\/\" target=\"_blank\">Banaue&#8217;s breathtaking wonders: Batad Rice Terraces and Tappiya Falls<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Despite the terrorist attacks in the past months, Duterte\u2019s drug war, and the province of Sulu, Burton enumerated the must-see tourist destinations in the Philippines for every traveler. Some of these mentioned are Philippines\u2019 white beaches and UNESCO World Heritage Site Banaue Rice Terraces in the Northern part of the Luzon island. She also mentioned the culture of Banaue in Ifugao, as well as things to do in the place such as spending the night in traditional Ifugao dwellings and hiking.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19161\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/07\/banaue-ethnic-village2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"850\" height=\"567\" srcset=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/07\/banaue-ethnic-village2.jpg 850w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/07\/banaue-ethnic-village2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/07\/banaue-ethnic-village2-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em>Traditional Ifugao dwellings where you can stay for the night!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Other Asian countries included in the NatGeo list include Mongolia, Turkey, and Kyrgyzstan.
