Philippine cookbooks were awarded at the 22nd<\/sup> Gourmand World Cookbook Awards held in Yantai, China.<\/p>\n

\"\"Clang Garcia, author of Food Holidays, at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards \/IMAGE World Cookbook Fair’s Facebook page<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

A total of six Philippine culinary books were recognized at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, a yearly Awards and Trade Fairs founded in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau. This event honors the best food and wine books on print, digital and broadcast from over 205 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n

\"\"Food Holidays by Clang Garcia \/IMAGE Food Holidays’ Facebook page<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This year, four culinary books from the Philippines were tagged as \u201c3rd<\/sup> Best in the World,\u201d such as Food Holidays<\/em><\/strong> by Clang Garcia, a campaign that aims to highlight Philippine Culinary Heritage Tourism. This book was recognized in the Culinary Travel category.<\/p>\n

\"\"Philippine Food, Cooking, & Dining Dictionary by Edgie Polistico\/ IMAGE Anvil Publishing<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Philippine Food, Cooking, & Dining Dictionary<\/em><\/strong> by Edgie Polistico also won third \u201cBest in the World,\u201d in Food Writing category, a book that contains more than 8,000 food-related terms in Filipino cuisine.<\/p>\n

\"\"Organic Divine Gorgeous Recipes by Eleanor Rivera\/ IMAGE flavorsoflife.com.ph<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

For the Health and Nutrition for the Public category, Organic Divine Gorgeous Recipes<\/em><\/strong> by Eleanor Rivera was also recognized as one of the best, a book for \u201cpreparing invigorating feasts.\u201d For the Professional Category, Proof<\/em> <\/strong>by the Philippine Society of Baking was also awarded for its handy informative guide to baking.<\/p>\n
