In case you haven\u2019t heard yet, there is a newly opened footbridge at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 (NAIA-3) and it is indeed advanced, efficient, and yes, beautifully designed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Philippine Primer caught a first look of what\u2019s inside the 220-meter pedestrian bridge linking NAIA3 and Newport City and we enjoyed the look-see! <\/span><\/p>\n

Dubbed as Runway Manila, this P1.5 billion pedestrian project is the first of its kind in the Philippines. The astounding contemporary structure, as we\u2019ve witnessed, was really made for full convenience and functionality. It is fully air-conditioned and designed to accommodate 2,000 persons at any time, or up to 216,000 individuals per day. Open 24 hours a day, the bridge features PWD-friendly facilities with moving escalators or \u2018walkators\u2019 and elevators. Golf carts are available for free and exclusive use of pregnant women, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and guests with infants and toddlers. It is also really spacious, clean, and safe with maximize security! No more elbow-to-elbow way out of the airport!<\/span><\/p>\n

The bridge is\u00a0quite long but you’ll surely enjoy the convenience of\u00a0walking in the facility.\u00a0Its glass walls and clean white walls are also doing its part to contribute to the bridge\u2019s purpose. Here’s a tip: walking along the bridge at around 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm will give you a splendid view of the urbanized Manila and its striking sunset!<\/span><\/p>\n

Right in front of the exit by the end of the bridge is the Belmont Hotels and Resorts, a 4-star hotel in Newport City<\/span>. There is also a McDonald’s on the left side and a car park situated on the right side of the exit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Manila Runway has been officially opened to the public last April 21 (Friday). The project is financed by Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. as part of the government\u2019s Public Private Partnership.<\/span><\/p>\n
