Wilben Mayor of the Mimaropa (Occidental\/Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) Police was quoted \u201cThe Mimaropa police assures the public that the region is generally peaceful and both local and foreign tourists are safe to visit its beautiful tourist destinations.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Mayor, the regional police will remain on heightened alert with regard to the safety of the people going to Palawan.
