Diverse in the best way possible.<\/em> This is what one would come up after seeing the grand displays of fabulous art at the Contemporary Art Fair 2015.<\/p>\n

Once again, the best of modern and contemporary artists gather once more at The Link from the 6th<\/sup> to the 8th<\/sup> of February to showcase Philippine visual art. Overseen by the Philippine Art Events Inc, this art fair aims to celebrate Filipino art practitioners and the local art scene in general.<\/p>\n

Exhibitors this year include Silverlens, The Drawing Room and Art Informal. Lewis Carroll\u2019s Alice in Wonderland inspired the exhibit of Art Verite where each bronze, metal, wire and glass structure was well-thought of. The grocery store-like set-up of the Tin-Aw Art Gallery is cute and quirky, but inspires the need for social transformation. Christie\u2019s has also collaborated with Art Fair this year to present a series of lectures and discussions on the changes in the art environment, art history and curatorship, and post-art war movements.<\/p>\n

Perhaps one of the most interesting exhibits is Geraldine Javier\u2019s Let\u2019s Talk About Art <\/em>where visitors are invited to write their definition of art in thought and speech bubble-formed pieces of foam and fabric. Other interesting artwork includes Tad Ermitano\u2019s Uwang, <\/em>an interactive video work that combines the geometry, nature, science and sound in one and Iya Consorio\u2019s Evening Dress <\/em>which features a girl made mutant by a heartbreaking tragedy.<\/p>\n
