(In no particular order)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pepe Diokno<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14811\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/03\/tumblr_nnwo2odvS71qzn9tfo1_1280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"412\" height=\"407\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Image grabbed from pepediokno.tumblr.com<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Only 29 years old, Pepe Diokno has already made its mark in the industry, having garnered multiple awards in various film festivals \u2013 including Gawad Urian, Venice Film Festival, and Jeonju Film Festival \u2013 for his first full-length film <em>Engkwentro<\/em>. What sets her apart from the other filmmakers tackling the same theme is how she takes the already-existing issues of the LGBT community and give it a fresher feel.<\/p>\n<p>See her works <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/givemesam\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Petersen Vargas <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14813\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/03\/CCKS_9403.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"533\" height=\"345\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Image grabbed from benchblog.ph.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Before his latest coming-of-age film, <em>2 Cool 2 Be 4Gotten, <\/em>was born, Petersen Vargas has already been to film festivals in Mindanao, Pampanga, Thailand, and Mumbai for his 20-minute thesis film, <em>Lisyun Qng Geografia. <\/em>This film was part of the Cinemalaya Film Festival Shorts, earning him the Best Director Award.
