{"id":14093,"date":"2017-03-10T09:10:19","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T01:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/?p=14093"},"modified":"2017-03-10T16:24:50","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T08:24:50","slug":"phl-embassy-in-mexico-launches-book-on-mexico-philippine-cultural-relations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/2017\/03\/10\/phl-embassy-in-mexico-launches-book-on-mexico-philippine-cultural-relations\/","title":{"rendered":"PHL Embassy In Mexico Launches Book On Mexico-Philippine Cultural Relations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Philippine Embassy in Mexico hosted the launching of the book entitled \u201c<i>M\u00e9xico y Filipinas:\u00a0 Culturas y Memorias Sobre el Pac\u1f77fico<\/i>\u201d (Mexico and Philippines:\u00a0 Cultures and Memories of the Pacific) at the Embassy\u2019s Chancery on March 02.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-14097 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/primer.com.ph\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/14\/2017\/03\/Mexico_1-e1489124565783.jpg\" width=\"438\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The book is a collaborative work between the <i>Colegio de Michoac\u0227n <\/i>and Ateneo de Manila University. It compiles the research papers presented at an academic seminar held in November 2014 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in commemoration of the 450<sup>th<\/sup> year of the Legazpi voyage to the Philippines.<\/p>\n<p>During the conference, researchers from the Philippines, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, and the United States presented papers on the close cultural and historical ties between the Philippines and Latin America, particularly Mexico.
