Ernesto Pernia said the goal can be achieved thanks to the country\u2019s untapped potential especially in manufacturing and tourism.<\/p>\n The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) released a draft<\/a> for the PDP 2017-2022 last Tuesday, January 10, giving the public a chance to scrutinize and give feedback or suggestions regarding the administration\u2019s medium-term development plan.<\/p>\n This version of the PDP is divided into seven parts, with a total of 22 chapters, and stands on three \u201cpillars\u201d: Malasakit <\/em>(Enhancing the Social Fabric), Pagbabago<\/em> (Reducing Inequality in Economic Development Opportunities), and Kaunlaran<\/em> (Increasing Potential Growth).<\/p>\n The PDP will translate AmBisyon Natin 2040, NEDA\u2019s anchor for development until 2040, and the administration\u2019s 10-point Socioeconomic Agenda into actual strategies, policies, programs, and activities.<\/p>\n While most the chapters are still available online for reading, comments and inputs were only accepted until midnight of January 15.
