This was according to a statement released by MMFF Committee (ExeCom) member Noel Ferrer in his Instagram account.<\/p>\n According to Ferrer, although the film festival is ending today, January 3, in some cinemas, it was still a \u201cgroundbreaking success\u201d because of the overwhelming support they have had from the public.<\/p>\n He also said that they are pursuing and pushing for the extended screenings of the MMFF films in Robinsons\u2019 and Ayala cinemas. They also announced that they are already \u201claying the groundwork for an extensive MMFF School Caravan,\u201d bringing the MMFF closer to the students by screening it in their schools and universities.<\/p>\n Liza Dino-Seguerra, chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), also appealed for the cinemas to extend the screenings of MMFF films. \u201cLet\u2019s start the New Year by empowering our LOCAL film industry.
