<\/p>\nThe BMW Hotelier Awards, a ceremony which honors the dedicated professionals of the hotel industry, held its 3rd edition on December 15, 2016 (Thursday), at The Parisian Macao. Over 400 hoteliers and industry professionals gathered in the grand ballroom to await the announcement of this year\u2019s award winners.<\/p>\n

FRANK REICHENBACH. General Manager of the Year Award for ASEAN<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Frank Reichenbach, General Manager of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, proudly won the General Manager of the Year Award for ASEAN. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t get any better than this!\u00a0I have worked in most countries in Asia and now I am back in the Philippines.\u00a0I think this recognition is something that is really special.\u00a0I would like to thank my team first of all; that is also, what I mentioned in my interview with the judging panel earlier today. I was asked, what makes a great hotel? It\u2019s the person; it\u2019s the interaction; it\u2019s the wow factor; I think that\u2019s my belief and I continue to live for that.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n 2016 saw the debut of the APAC \u201cCorporate Hotelier of the Year\u201d Award, which recognizes one individual from any department within the corporate office. This year\u2019s winner was Dr. Jennifer Cronin, President, Marco Polo Hotels; she explains her delight in winning this prestigious accolade. \u201cThis is an incredible event and a new concept that I think we, as a community, need to take even further.\u00a0Let\u2019s support one another to grow, develop and keep learning so we can show the world that this is a fantastic industry to be a part of.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Co-Founder, Stephane de Montgros, noted on the night that \u201cThe platform has developed tremendously over the past three years, from celebrating brilliance amongst the hoteliers in Greater China, to now recognising a wider audience, by including the ASEAN region and with a mission to start developing the younger generation.
