<\/p>\nSoutheast Asia\u2019s largest publicly listed food, beverage, and packaging company San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has signed an agreement to build a drug rehabilitation facility in Bataan province to support the Philippine government\u2019s campaign against drugs.<\/p>\n

SIGNING OF MOA. The Memorandum of Agreement is signed by Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr., Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ismael Sueno, Department of Health Secretary (DoH) Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, Bataan Provincial Governor Albert Garcia, SMC President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang and non-profit Pilipinong May Puso Foundation, Inc.’s (PMPF) chairperson Rowena Kristina Amara Velasco.<\/em><\/p>\n This commitment is made by The San Miguel Foundation, the social development arm of SMC. \u201cWe\u2019re fully supportive of our government\u2019s anti-drug dependency efforts. We want to be able to do our part in helping drug dependents reform–especially the youth. With the right guidance, we\u2019re hopeful they can re-enter society with positivity and become productive individuals,\u201d said Chief Operating Officer and SMC President Ramon Ang.<\/p>\n Under the agreement, SMC will be providing the funding and construction of the said rehab facility.
