To be able to instill the values of art and cleanliness, Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada is set to hold an on-the-spot wall painting contest at the Manila North Cemetery for high school students.<\/p>\n

According to The Standard\u2019s report, Mayor Estrada said that \u201cat their young age, they should be taught how to care for the environment and use their talent in promoting cleanliness and environmental conservation.”<\/p>\n

The said competition is happening on December 18 (Sunday) from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm outside Manila North Cemetery along Bonifacio Avenue in Santa Cruz.<\/p>\n

At least 120 students from both private and public high schools will participate in the contest themed \u201cManila Forward Ever, Backward Never.\u201d All winners shall receive trophies and P50,000 cash for the first prize, P20,000 for the second prize, and P10,000 for the third placer. According to cemetery director Daniel Tan, 20 consolation prizes worth P2,000 will also be given.<\/p>\n
