  • There are more reasons to explore the other side of Taiwan as AirAsia Philippines expands its international services with its new flight routes to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. 

    Starting August 1, 2019, flights going to Kaohsiung, Taiwan from either Clark or Cebu will be available to travelers.

    “The Philippines continues to be one of the top holiday destinations for Taiwanese. As the only Philippine airline to connect Cebu and Clark directly to Kaohsiung, we are pleased to be able to contribute to Philippine tourism and bring Cebuanos and Kapampangans closer to southern Taiwan as well,” AirAsia Philippines President and CEO Dexter Comendador said in a statement.

    Known as The Harbour City, Kaohsiung is Taiwan’s second-largest city and is famous for its rich cultural scene and activities. It’s a place for shopping and food as it offers lively night markets and large malls selling local goods, souvenirs, and some of the best Taiwanese dishes like mud volcano chicken, beef noodles, and pan-fried dumplings.

    Kaohsiung will be AirAsia Philippines’ 10th new international destination to launch this year.

    AirAsia now flies to 13 destinations from Cebu to Manila, Clark, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Puerto Princesa and Boracay (Caticlan), Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Shenzhen, Macau, Taipei, and Kaohsiung, and 10 destinations from Clark to Cagayan de Oro, Tacloban, Puerto Princesa, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Boracay (Caticlan), Seoul, Taipei, and Kaohsiung.
