  • Korean Embassy to Ease Visa Requirements for Filipinos
  • There is another reason to celebrate Filipino-Korean diplomatic ties as South Korea will be relaxing visa requirements for Filipinos planning to visit the country.

During the PHIL-KOR 70th Anniversary, Ambassador Han Dong-man said that they will start moderating visa requirements, as well as simplifying the application processes, to entice more Filipino tourists.

The Korean envoy to the Philippines alsoΒ stressed that all Filipino applicants, especially the qualified ones such as the business professionals, media people, and government employees, would be given multiple-entry visas with five to ten years validity.

“Any Filipino for visit to Korea [will be] entitled to get multiple-entry visa,” Han said in a statement. He stressed that this will require themΒ one single document proving their employment to a certain company.

Among the Association of Southeast Asian Nation (ASEAN) countries, the Philippines will be the only country allowed to have multiple-entry visa, the ambassador added.

The celebration was highlighted by a friendship parade, participated by Filipino and Koreans, at the Quirino Grand Stadium in Manila last Sunday, June 2. Cultural exchange activities were also held.
